Then in the "My Articles" tab You can start your work, ie. Unsent and unfinished articles. I think this is a good option because there are really different cases and problems possible.

Very good idea, this is really a big problem. Sometimes you write a big article 2 hours and at the end it turns off, that can make anyone really mad.
I usualy open second page on a different forum that has a saving text function to prevent such an issue.
