    PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Review

Eleven. Eleven million dollars billed in just three days. A cost close to 30 € and still very early access very green, the truth is that PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS has sold as beers on a summer day. Frosty, fresh, energizing beers on a hot summer day. Created by the individual known as PLAYERUNKNOWN, one of the founders of the Battle-Royale genre in Weapon 3 and the King of the Kill H1Z1, he moved arms and baggage to this Battl ... pardon, BATTLEGROUNDS, behind the guarantee of making a " good game ".

Judging from the massive membership that catapulted the game to the top-ranked Steam list and Twitch's most-watched list, it could be said that it succeeded. The concept will be linked to Weapon 2 and its community of Mods that gave rise to games like DayZ and a whole catadupa of clones, among which stands out H1Z1. The game engine, a combat simulation, provides the tools needed for open-field movement and for combat with firearms. The rest are the seasonings that successive games have been in charge of adding. In DayZ, the focus is primarily on survival in a post-apocalyptic world. It is our duty to carry out all the tasks necessary for survival in meticulous detail. Eat, drink, keep us warm and dry and avoid the occasional puncture of our body by foreign objects like lead bullets, arrows or zombie teeth. I will still talk about this game in more detail, but within this genre, DayZ excels at allowing a peaceful coexistence for a common purpose - or, at the opposite end, of refinement of wickedness and sadism when it comes to killing or injuring an opponent.

Understandably, the malta is not very lively for these excursions ...

In PUBG, things are simple and linear. There are no "friends" or temporary alliances. We are jammed in an airplane with 99 more rooms. The plane flies over an island with 64 square kilometers. We jump, we land and it is a see if you fancy to see if we do not die of lead poisoning. The first steps, in the way of AIMEUDEUS, are to seek an immediate shelter and / or catch something with which we can defend ourselves or kill those around us. And get the hell out of yourself if you think the Arcade experience awaits you, like the old First Person Shooters where you just have to get past the guns and bullets to automatically get the thing ready to fire. We have to catch them, we have to equip them and it is painful, laborious and nervously to carry them, with tremors and jolts to peer on all sides waiting for us to fall something on top. Then he takes a deep breath and, with his eyes open, goes hunting. The first few minutes of the game are aimed at finding tools to help us kill without dying. Bandages and First Aid Kits mix with assault rifles, shotguns and helmets. Bulletproof vests are mixed with camouflage and grenades. And this accumulation of pseudo-wealth is made to look over the shoulder, as if the enemy were always on the lookout. Spoiler Alert: most of the time it is.

There may be some problem with the car ...

PUBG is a demanding game. It's no use for you to be the best sniper in the world and be very well equipped. If they are surrounded by enemies, they will eventually be killed. If they can not see their enemies, they will most certainly be killed if I appeal or grieve. Forget romantic battles in the open, one on one, clenching their teeth and shouting "COME AT ME BRO". Clever players will become opportunists and either cast the final blow of the shadows or expect you to thin out in order to shoot down what remains, pseudo-victorious, as he tries to reap the spoils of the now-dejected enemy. Intermediate battles are of little concern. The point is to reach the end and be the only survivor. "There is only one."
In the background, this passes as a super-production in the manner of SAW. Our bereaved competitors are dumped on the island and a set of traps and timers are set off to stimulate combat. From time to time, the area of the island shrinks, by virtue of a shrinking electro-static field, forcing the players to search for an unscathed place of the electrical storm - leaping into the sights of others who have in the meantime positioned themselves. As if that were not enough, there are bombardments every now and then. It is not enough for the turnips to try to kill us and an electric field to fry us, of course there had to be bombs falling from the skies. The goal is to force us to move, to jump into the arms - and the sights - of each other, keeping the game frantic enough.

PUBG lives on the physics of weapons and a broad map. The arsenal of weapons and components for them is quite large and their behavior, in lines close to reality, helps to compose the desired immersion picture. The game lives more of the moments of tension than of the exchanges of shots themselves. There are weapons more dangerous than others at certain distances and in certain situations, but all are dangerous, all kill or incapacitate. The player with everything he wants in terms of equipment can die in it for a well-shot pistol shot, with a runaway car or in the middle of a crossfire between 4 or 5 different enemies who seek to kill each other. Phenomenal and worthy of note is the whole sound treatment. With a good headphones it is perfectly possible to discern the direction of where the shots come from,
