The forest is an survival horror game that it is developed and published by Endnight Games and it's available for PC and PS4.It have really great graphics where in the game you try to survive on an island because the plane where you and your son were crushed.On the island there are cannibals and mutants that you need to fight them to survive.Other than fighting them if you want to survive you need to find food,supplies and build shelter,campfire and more.The main reason why you are stuck in the island is because you are trying to find you missing son Timmy.
The Basics
When you start the game you must know that the forest gives you a lot of supplies so you can begin.Unless if you play on extremly hard mode.So here are some things that you might consider!
Finding Supplies
Supplies are the most important thing in the game so you need to have as many of them as you can.Maybe after time they will get usless when you start crafting other items, but they are useful at the begining.
Food
There are many areas all over the island where you can find snacks(candy bar) and sodas at the begining you will want to gather as much as it is possible of them.There are also booze they will fill up the thirsty bar but it will lower the stamina bar,but you can combine them with cloth and make molotov cocktail.There is another way to get food by hunting animals such as (deers,squirrels,lizards,rabits,racoons,birds,fish and more) even you can can eat mutant parts like arms,legs,head but first you need to build campfire and put them there then you can eat but there is a chance of getting sick and then you will need to find aloe vera to cure your self or you just will need to get rest (sleep).You can also build cage so you don't need to hunt them they will get to you,but do that if you don't have time for hunting.
Crafting Materials
The basic materials you will need to have for crafting are sticks,rocks,logs,cloth,feathers and other items that you think are usless at the begining but after you start crafting and building you realize that you need more than you think.
Building a Shelter
Building a shelter is one of the important thing you must do in the game to survive because in the shelter you can save the game so when you die you have to restart from the last save point, and while it is night you can sleep in it.You can also build custom shelter (house) you can bouild like from a shack to a large mansion.
Armor
Armor is also incredibly useful as you take on the various enemies in the game. You'll also have a number of options, depending on the results you're seeking to achieve. Among these are bone armor, stealth armor and weird armor.
As the name describes, stealth armor will help to make you more stealthy. It can be gathered using lizard skins and leaves. You can use basic lizard skin armor, or bone armor to gain greater defense. If you're looking for the best possible defense, you can gain weird armor from the mutants you defeat.
Weapons
The initial weapon you'll receive is the axe, which works as both a tool and a weapon. However, it's not far into the game that you can start making some other basic weapons, such as the weak spear, bows and arrows and a slingshot.Using these tools, you'll be able to kill animals and enemies more easily, which is going to give you an easier time defending yourself, gathering skins and food. Throughout the game, you'll be able to make or obtain improved weapons that help you get farther into the story. Searching for these weapons will help you as you look for your lost son, Timmy.
