Skillwarz is a modern first-person shooter(FPS) game that is developed by one person known as "OneManArmy", with simple textures and a range of guns to choose from, the competitive arena of bullets doesn't stop entertaining FPS lovers. Let me tell you why this is an addictive shooter game and it's highly entertaining.
Skillwarz is a competitive shooter game, you got to use both your skills which takes a lot of practice, and also- your brain. Although people who already played other FPS games like CS: GO from steam or Phantom Forces from Roblox, it's easier for you to get used to the movements of Skillwarz since you already know the basic control for an FPS game, therefore those players can gain a slight advantage towards those who haven't touch an FPS game before. But don't panic, the developer is very generous and he decides to add +50 health to those who are a new player to Skillwarz.
A hard start (Gameplay)
A lot of times people do not get high KDR, if you get 1 or above, consider yourself "good", because when I first play this game... I have a KDR of 0.78! Every time I spawn, I get headshot by a prestige 2 player from a great distance with a pistol! Don't worry if you keep dying, because as you learn the control, and get smoother every time, you'll eventually get some double kills in the corner between obstacles.
Grabbing a sniper will not help you nor improve your accuracy and your reaction speed because the opponent is way faster than you. So one of the best guns for starters is the default M4A1 rifle, and with no scope or preferably a scope which doesn't zoom too much (around a 3x scope or less), if you use this layout in the class button --> assault category, you can get at least 4 or 5 kills per round.
One of the biggest mistakes players make is just rushing and keep moving forward without any obstacles to hide from bullets, this can get you very easily targeted and seen as you are standing the open sprinting to elsewhere, we want to avoid this mistake. Go hide behind walls or even large metal crates, and also crouch! You're less visible, harder to get aimed, and also only 50%of your body is exposed (When you stand behind the edge of a metal crate and 1/3 of your screen is covered with walls while you aim with scope). It's an effective tactic, and you can grab 2 or 3 kills when players wander off without noticing you!!
Levels
Every level contains a reward, it contains a wide range of things, like perks, scopes, stickers, and a lot of stuff. The higher your level increases, the chance of getting a reward decreases, as fewer rewards are available to those who are level 50 compared to a level 0 player. Once you get to level 50, you going to prestige age, which has a maximum of 10. A "level 0 -50", the icon beside the player's username is a symbol of boost, which players who are in prestige age, they get a symbol of "star". So if you want to show off, just get a star, and consider yourself a decent player!
Regions
Mostly, this game is played on US servers, so if you live in Asia like me, you're going to join US servers because all the other servers like Japan, India, Korea, and a lot of servers are empty, US region is a lot active. If you live in Asia, it has around 1-12 players during the daytime, and 13-30 players during night time, all located in US servers. So 200 ping adds to Asia players! :(
Worrying about FPS? (Frames per seconds)
When you first launch the game and join a server, the FPS is pretty laggy as the default setting for graphics quality is very high. Just go to settings, and change the graphics quality to low, your FPS shall be getting around 60. For a 2017 mac, it's very very smooth with no lag spikes! And this is one of the reasons this game has attracted many mac gamers! And also about smoke grenade... The higher the graphics quality, the more detail the smoke is seen. So players with higher graphic quality gain a little advantage as it's more detailed and easier to know the boundary of the smoke.
