I'd say going f2p is good for CS:GO. Because it can compete better with its p2w clones.
Being f2p also means people can try it out without paying for it first and within the 2-hour refund time.

While a lot of people say it'll create endless cheaters using obvious cheats, our favorite car manufacturer may be also using it to improve VAC, Trust Factor and Overwatch for the players who have no intention to cheat.

If skins can have a noticeable effect on your plays and clutches, then every pro player and everyone else who wants to be GE will be going into debt as they unbox to get the best quality skin with the least wear.

It's a great refresher whenever you get tired/tilted playing the other game modes. Though it takes some time to get some wins due to the different pace & nature compared to other BRs.

Just buy them directly. You'll get what you want guaranteed. Opening chests just gives you a low tier skin most of the time.
