I ordered a reward (steam wallet 5$) 21 days ago, and I haven't received yet. Other rewards, (I won 1 csgo skin) were dispatched in couple of days. So if I get my steam wallet reward, then you should save your SG. If not, then go with skins :)
Don't buy chests, there is a very, very small chance you can get anything good from a chest. Either get a steam wallet code or buy skins. It is more profitable to get steam wallet codes tho. But its all up to you.
Yes, only buy the straight rewards - I never spend money on chests i only use codes (however in one i did get the Witcher III)
