I do feel like the size of the player base has gone down overall as the recent increase was a result of csgo becoming free to play, the release of operation shattered web, and the cs20 case. This spike in players will probably end up dying down although I do not believe that the game will be dying any time soon.
I don't feel like csgo is dying, but more like that it's getting more. I just started playing csgo again after like 1,5 years. So yea I don't think it's dying. Of course it doesn't have as much as before but still.

Nah CS;GO is one of those games that will never die.. Its been the same since the very first days of any Counter Strike franchise.. People still play CS1.6 and Source.. so nah CSGO isn't dying
