Voting up articles implementation

I was discussing this with other important users on the site, and we all agree to have a support for those with the rank of Writers, I’m talking about those who contribute uploading articles every day (the more active ones).


That being said, let’s talk a little about this special rank. The only benefit we have so far is uploading a maximum of 5 articles “Being verified (by the community)”, which it doesn’t seem to be necessary as those articles gets verified in less than 30 minutes.


It would be cooler if our votes count the double, since we’re trusted members who contribute more to the articles section of the site, without spoiling normal users. Or something very cool to add to the special rank of Writers.


Any ideas are always welcome here.

I think that at the moment the rank of publisher is somewhat simple, I think our verdict should be more.

Thats what i want for the writers rank, if only they could bring it upboard and consider it in the nearby future.

Well, looks like no one can apport to this topic. However, I’d like to add something else to the same if you like.

The Spanish portal is sending more articles every day, ¿right? People like myself depend on those article gems but its not so profitable, and it takes some time. What we could really use is some kind of bonus for writing a lot in a single week.

For example, we use a lot the Ansus rune. Its our only hope to earn profit faster. But it is a rare one. The bonus of the Ansus rune could be activated once we write, 5 or 10 articles in the week, once per month. This way is to incentive all good writers out there, and to make sure those articles keep them coming. This bonus can be only available for the users with the Writer rank, since they’re trusted members who contribute a lot, and have never send spam/plagiarism.

@Theawakening, I think that is already somewhat complicated.
I would recommend that, at least to us, the editors who dedicate ourselves to writing while omitting the other tasks, make it easier for us or provide us with the option of obtaining the Ansus rune.
Currently there are 2 new editors who are putting too much effort into the page, one is already exceeding 60 Articles but doing all this without the rune because they are difficult to get, if the editors were to make it easier for us to get this rune I am sure it would improve production a lot.

"Hello, as this week there have been changes in the articles section, I would like those who have the title of editor (well deserved) to have some advantage to obtain the gems that we obtained before for the articles since I personally work a lot articles on videogames to bring them to Gamehag."

That's a great idea and personally, I agree with your suggestion. Redactors should be given more than those benefits (Maybe 500SG max earned instead of 250SG?). Anyways, it's been sent to the Gamehag Team for approval.

Well, I personally want to say a few last words on this thread, since its one month old and its been sended into analysis to the team already.

Its not like we should have better payments off the rest of the users who take their time to upload a good, constructed article, but check on our records. Me for example, I have crafted more than 113 and not a single one contains stuff from other sites. 100% original is my motto. Those who have the rank of Redactor should know what I’m talking, they have writed a lot of articles with soo much effort and no one of them is plagiarism/spam. I don’t say we should have better stuff, but something that could incentive others to join the crew of good old (new) writers… What should matter is to be compensated for the good job, something that has been a long battle between veterans, new writers, and those who do spam/plagiarism without knowing what is good and wrong.

Getting back to the topic, we are trusted members who contribute a lot to the articles section. Our word, our judgment, should be trusted even more, when it comes to voting and sending articles. If you’re a normal user who don’t think this is right, I invite you to compare our writings with everyone else who doesn’t have the Redactor rank. Or, if you like writing, do a good job sending good articles and you will be considered for the rank, plus enjoying these benefits and more (if they get approved)

Yup, I understand where you are coming from. There are a bunch of other suggestions as well which could nicely compliment those which you've suggested (such as earning additional SG for reporting plagiarised articles & providing the source). If these are all implemented I'm sure it'll make the redactor role more attractive to other users.

All in all, I'll be locking the thread since you've mentioned that that would be your final message.
