Twórcom World of Tanks, udało się połączyć zręcznościówkę z symulatorem i strategią. Grę stworzyło rosyjskie studio Wargaming.net, znane polskim graczom głównie z jednej strategii, RTS-a Order of War. W WoT musimy opanować sterowanie kilkudziesięcioma tonami żelastwa, celnie strzelać, kombinować, a także rozwijać swoją społecznościową karierę. Zdobywamy medale i szlifujemy gwiazdki. Zarządzamy garażem z naszymi pojazdami, wreszcie straszymy wrogów swoją morderczą efektywnością w globalnych statystykach. Wyżej podpisany ładny kawałek szlaku bojowego już przejechał. Zamierza zresztą jechać dalej, bo do Berlina jeszcze kawałek. Gra nie potrzebuje dużych wymagań sprzętowych więc przyciąga dużą rzesze osób chcących pograć raz na jakiś czas w dobrą "strzelankę" w dodatku z czołgami. WoT jest również dobrą grą jeżeli chodzi o e-sport który również się rozwija w tej grze. Podsumywując World Of Tanks to nie wymagająca dużych zdolności od gracza jak i dużego wysiłku komputera.
