Given the age of the majority of people who play the game, it's to be expected. Luckily with the ridiculous censorship on the games and site, the toxicity of some people end up becoming humorous (as in watching them try to jump through hoops so to speak in order to say a certain word).

It's decent for what it is, plus I love the new hero lending mechanic. Makes it more worthwhile to max out your friends' list.

Haven't seen any ads in-game, or are you talking about the ads for the game itself, for people to download it?

Builders Club etc is pretty decently priced compared to other, similar games, though some of the non-limited items can be a bit too high priced.

Have you tried asking on the official Discord? I love Dyling light myself, both the singleplayer + DLC and the multiplayer, but given I'm on the PC and it works fine, I can't really help above the suggestion.

My friend gave me a code to access the game for two weeks, a sort of "test it before you buy it" sort of deal. From that short experience I'd say it's worthwhile if you're big into sandbox RPGs. The quests are fairly mundane for the genre, but the characters and, more specifically your character's charm makes up for that tenfold. The graphics are stunning and the creatures you can tame are fantastic.
