Liczba gier, nad którymi równocześnie pracuje Telltale Games, może budzić podziw. Jeszcze nie doczekaliśmy się finału Tales from the Borderlands czy Game of Thrones, a już rozpoczyna się kolejna epizodyczna seria, która – zważywszy na dotychczasowy cykl produkcyjny tego niezależnego dewelopera – będzie nam towarzyszyć przynajmniej do przyszłorocznego lata. Minecraft: Story Mode tym razem jako podstawę do opowiedzenia historii opartej na obowiązkowo trudnych (i równie obowiązkowo iluzorycznych) wyborach wykorzystuje jedną z najsłynniejszych gier ostatnich lat – Minecrafta. Wybór takiej, a nie innej licencji z jednej strony jest prawdopodobnie gwarantem sprzedaży, która przebije wszystkie poprzednie sukcesy tego amerykańskiego studia, z drugiej wywołał sporo kontrowersji wśród graczy, obawiających się zrobionego tanim kosztem skoku na portfele bardzo młodych i często mało wybrednych odbiorców. Na szczęście to, co można zobaczyć podczas pierwszego, zatytułowanego The Order of the Stone epizodu Minecraft: Story Mode, rokuje bardzo pozytywnie i zapowiada grę, którą zainteresować powinni się nie tylko najmłodsi fani dzieła studia Mojang.
